General information
Careful selection of gloves is very important because they also have a protective function. Properly selected and fitted boxing gloves optimally protect your hands against micro-injuries and absorb the force of impacts, absorbing and dispersing the impact energy evenly over the entire surface of the glove. Gloves are intended to protect not only the user, but also the sparring partner or opponent in the ring, and at the same time minimize the risk of injuries. The quality and safety of training depend on well-selected gloves. The weight of boxing gloves is influenced by the density and type of foam used, the number of layers used in the impact zone, and additional layers placed in the wrist or blocking zone. An ounce (oz) is not a size but a unit of weight (28.35 grams), but the number of ounces determines not only the weight of the gloves, but also their size. For lighter gloves, up to 10 ounces, the interior space for hand entry also increases with weight, making it easier to size based on the weight of the gloves. The internal size of gloves weighing 10 ounces and more is already universal, and the external dimensions of gloves increase with weight, which is related to the use of more and more foam in the impact zone, thus determining the purpose of the gloves.

Professionally made Overlord® Legacy boxing gloves are designed for training and sparring in such styles as Classic Boxing, Muay Thai, Krav Maga, Kickboxing, they will also work well in other full contact styles and during training on equipment.
Legacy gloves are made of durable and durable synthetic leather. Optimal absorption of impact forces is ensured by Eva foam - Latex Rubber Base Foam Soft, characterized by excellent shock-absorbing properties.
The gloves fit perfectly to the hand, and the thumb connected to the glove reduces the risk of injury to a minimum. The wrist is additionally protected by extensive 15 mm thick cuff stiffening.

In the case of the head, these injuries most often include abrasions of the epidermis, contusions of the auricles, but also fractures of the nasal bones. A high-quality helmet absorbs the force of impact, effectively protecting the head against dangerous injuries, maintaining comfort of use, ensuring safety during training, sparring and amateur fights, absorbing and evenly distributing the force of blows, while protecting the jaw, ears and cheeks. It is also very important to adjust the size so that it does not move during training and does not limit the field of vision. A properly selected head protector will ensure comfort and safety regardless of the discipline practiced. The type and quality of the head protector's filling is responsible for the absorption of impact forces and shocks, so it has a decisive impact on the safety of its user. Strong fasteners and an adjustment system allow you to precisely adjust the helmet to the size and shape of your head, the helmet cannot move when receiving blows. A lighter helmet is definitely better for training, head protectors for competitions are heavier. Both types of helmets must protect the forehead, chin, cheekbones, jaw and around the ears. Overlord offers models with additional shock-absorbing foam in the cheek area, allowing for even distribution of the force of a blow directed at the nose. Additional horizontal stitching in the zone covering the ear prevents a sudden increase in pressure in the external ear canal, thus protecting the eardrum from damage. Painful contusions and even fractures of the tibia most often occur as a result of direct trauma to the front of the lower leg, which is why protection of this area is so important. Nevertheless, it should be remembered that when performing strong kicks, large overloads also affect the dorsal part of the metatarsus and the ankle joint, which is the most susceptible to injuries of all joints in the human body. A shin and foot protector is essential equipment in full contact combat sports, its purpose is to protect against the opponent's kicks and when striking. The choice of the appropriate model of shin and foot protectors depends on the discipline practiced and the level of advancement. Muay Thai, Kickboxing and Krav Maga require well-shaped, hard protectors that protect the legs as much as possible due to the need to perform a large number of strong kicks. In the case of MMA, shin guards should not restrict freedom of movement, especially during sparring or ground fighting.
